[Challenge & Achievement] Cuckoo clock finished!

So as I said in my post from last night: today we had a day off of work. And since it was a rainy day, I could spend a lot of time on building my cuckoo clock.

I went to my parents at noon for lunch and stayed there for the rest of the day. I took my cuckoo clock with me so I could build after lunch.

I mostly had to finish up the roof and the decoration parts on the outside. Which still was a decent amount of work. Definitely because I needed to handle some pieces with care to be sure not to break them.

Luckily I was able to finish without any major breaks. And I only had to use 2 or 3 of the spare parts because a small piece of color was damaged. So all in all I did not have too many difficulties building this one.

Also the cuckoo chiming on the hour works like a charm. Since I wasn’t going to keep it running permanently at the moment, I did not pay any attention to start it at the exact time I set it. So it ran a little ahead of the actual time. But the cuckoo worked when the time on the clock hit the hour.

I really enjoyed this one. I saw the kit come to life piece by piece and I really love the design.

Since I knew I didn’t have a lot left to do, I already did my ‘spin the wheel’ to determine my next kit and also brought that one along to my parents.

It was the Vitascope.

Spoiler alert! I also started and finished that one today :face_with_hand_over_mouth::shushing_face:. But I will post about that one tomorrow. I promised a video of it working and did not make that yet, so be sure to keep your eyes open for my new update tomorrow. for now I need to go to sleep, because tomorrow, I do have to go to work.

It’s such a relaxing moment to build/craft while it’s raining. Plus a good coffee is a plus. :orange_heart:

Wow! Your clock looks fantastic and it is great that you had no issues with it at all. And well done and completing your Vitascope.
You’re on a creating roll. Now, I think you need to buy more kits to add to your spinning wheel.

Minus_88, finishing the cuckoo clock on a rainy day off sounds wonderfully satisfying. I love that the details include lunch with your parents and all those photos, it makes the finished build feel tied to the day itself. Congratulations on getting it done!
