Oh my goodness! I am finally done with this thing. I am ashamed to admit that I used my “sailor’s mouth” more than once on this model. Every test worked perfectly until I would try to install the final back plate near the tail. I did this over and over at least 4 times. Black body, black screws (the tiniest EVER) did not make this an easy one. Putting on the final plate was ROUGH…trying to get the computer “brain” lined up perfectly in that groove while it wants to come out of hole it needs to sit in was a NIGHTMARE for me. Now I can go back to my
Yesssss! This looks amazing! Ive cursed at a kit before too, youre not the only one Im super glad you got it in thr end, all the black pieces would definitely make it hard. Well done hun!
That is truly how I felt with my Cathys Flowerhouse. But it is done now and I can proudly display but man I walked away from it for a week or 2 and completed the Chocolate house. But I promised myself to complete before I touched Elsas!
Thanks @Jerry_Boswijk . I was almost ready to give up…I kept taking the batteries out and trying them in other builds to make sure it wasn’t a bad battery…LOL!
Wow. That looks so cool. You have done an amazing job. I don’t think this one is suitable for me as I am not a fan of scorpion. But you did so well with it.
You did an amazing job! Luckily you don’t give up. Are you going to try the manta ray as well? or was it once and never again to make such a structure?
I don’t think I want to do that one…Not really a fan of the plastic models for the reason that there is no customising to be done. I just prefer something that I can do a bit of upgrading to. @Liset …To be perfectly honest as well, it was not an enjoyable build for me. The Scorpio thing reeled me in. That’s about it…as far as my atttraction for this type of model
That’s also why I haven’t bought an insect build yet. I like being able to paint a build. I ordered the manta ray for my nephew as a gift from the September leaderboard. I’m really curious to see what he thinks.
