[Challenge & Achievement] Classical gramophone - step 3

Tonight I did not have a lot of time to build. So upon checking the step that needed to be done next, I was relieved to see that it was a small step. That meant I could build today :partying_face:.

For step 3 I only needed to make some kind of mechanism. There are some screws, springs, rubber bands… so it actually contains a lot of little parts.

There is not much more to say about it really, the manual just speaks for itself and is easy to follow. I needed to wax 1 part a little. I’m looking forward to see what function this piece will have.

I might discover it when building the next step, which might be on Friday or definitely in the weekend.

These are the pictures of the little part I have built today:

Ohhhh…I do not recall the function of that part…BUT I think you are nearing the stage of cranking something down with lots of twisting and turning. I hope it all goes well for you.

Even a small building session is a win! I love those moments when you realize you can squeeze in a little progress, even on a busy day. Looking forward to seeing the next update and finding out how it works!

It’s something; even if it’s just that one piece, it’s progress, hehe

Progress is still progress! I always say progress over perfection but your builds always look so amazing. I’m excited to see where this part goes and how it functions

I know absolutely nothing about the build process for this but slow and steady wins the race. I have seen others complete this and it is pretty cool. Enjoy!

It’s always a nice surprise when the next step is small enough to fit into a busy day!

@Minus_88 even a small mechanism step is still real progress, especially with screws, springs, rubber bands, and a little waxing involved. It will be fun to see where this part fits once the gramophone starts revealing its movement.

Slow and steady. Not hurried. I like it that way sometimes too.

Thank you @jeanneL . It is nice to take it step by step and on a slower pace. It just keeps you entertained enough and you don’t have the tendency to overdo it.
