Yesterday when I was cleaning up and sorting things, I counted all of the manuals and instructions that I have saved so far from all of my builds. Realising that my next build was #50, I spun my wheel and got this.
This frame caught my eye quite some time ago. A) Because it’s Christmas
B) Because it has an old-worlde charm to it, and
C) Because it is a cool Christmas build
My first impression when opening it up, was “Wow! It’s much smaller than I thought it would be”, followed by “OMG, how gorgeous is it”?
Then I sorted everything and put it into Sue’s Treasure Tray.
I had a moment of panic when I couldn’t find two sheets but pulled the box apart a bit further and found them under the tray that held the frame.
I have to say that this was such a great little build. I hardly used any glue except for when pieces would fall out of their slots.
I did use a few of those sticky dots, but dang they are hard to get the little orange cover off!
And I would have to say that I’ve got a new favourite build (although Mrs Charlie is still sitting at #1).
I adore this!!! It is the cutest Christmas Build that I will bring out every year.
And my tray proved its value when I knew just where to look for the parts, and my tools were right where I had put them back rather than rolling off the side of the couch or hiding under things
@Suzanne_Jones congratulations on build number 50! Santa’s Toy Shop has exactly the old-world Christmas charm you hoped for, and Sue’s Treasure Tray proving itself during the build makes this milestone feel especially well organized and memorable.
I know right? It was great to have it there. And I could put my partially finished pieces in it rather than balancing them around the area where I work.
I have given several away, I have many if my smaller builds in a box for a friend to take to the markets, and the rest are in display dust covers stacked on each other.
