Enter a world that most Australians don’t know. It’s Christmas time and it’s snowing (okay, yes it happened in Tasmania last Christmas, but it’s not the norm).
I had an idea for this build a few weeks ago and I’ve been working on collecting things and planning for a little while now.
And to be honest, I loved every minute.
Apart from one part of the roof that was warped, everything was perfect. I got the roof on but had to leave the top of the bed off to do so.
I was a little disappointed at losing most of the poster when the roof went on and it was hidden by the bed but it still looks cute.
I didn’t use all of the items and added some of my own. There is so much that you can do with this kit. It is definitely one that I would recommend to beginners. The parts fit well together and the instructions are clear and easy to read.
I did have one leftover part that I have no idea where I was supposed to put it. But oh well!
The parts that I’ve kept out, just may make an appearance in future builds.
Some items I bought were better suited to 1:12 rather than the smaller size.
I modified others to make them fit.
Overall, my husband was really happy with what I made (not the mess I made with the snow), and I put the snowman in at his suggestion.
It’s never too early for Christmas right?
A snowy A-frame? You’ve officially escaped the tropical heat! I’m laughing because the only white Christmas we get here on the Philippines is the “white” in the Christmas lights at the mall. That little snowman is the perfect touch. Pro tip: if you don’t know where a part goes, just hide it in the snow and tell everyone it’s a hidden treasure. Simply stunning work!
What an amazing and cozy customization, I love what you did with it! And your Christmas touch is super spot on. I just love it! I want one just like that for my next Christmas decorations now.
@Suzanne_Jones I love the details does 1.12 scale fit well i buy a lot in that scale for my doll house x I love Christmas this one is in my wish list and I can’t remember that last time t snowed at Christmas where I live !
Oh I just love the snow effect! This turned out so beautiful! I love all of your changes. I found that I had installed my headboard (top) piece upside down/backwards whatever…and had to remove it and replace it for the right wall/roof to fit.
1:12 is slightly too large. I had to cut down the skis and the poles to make them more realistic. I wanted to include some ice skates but they were too large. Sometimes you can get some small stuff on Temu (the Christmas tree and gifts came from there). Now I always check the measurements before buying.
