After finishing the ferris wheel, I already knew I needed to build another one, so I went with the Merry-Go-Round.
I remember struggling a bit with one of the links to the horses. The pieces were delicate and I think I broke like 2–3 parts while working on it. Good thing, I had some strong glue to fix them which I also got from my previous kits.
Still managed to finish it though and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
I love the look of this kit. It looks great. I would probably have painted it because I love a bit of colour.
It’s great to see this up a bit closer than just in a picture online.
A true builder always has a secret stash of glue for those oopsie moments! The Merry-Go-Round looks absolutely classic. Those horse linkages are so thin, I think almost everyone has a tiny break there at some point! But you can’t even tell in your photos! It looks seamless. Now that you have the Ferris Wheel and the Carousel, your miniature carnival is really coming together!
Also, I just want to share that all of the KKVs I’ve been to that has this same kit on display have broken parts haha. This kit is truly for those with extra careful hands.
I’m just happy I survived this kit. It’s not perfect but super satisfying in the end. I definitely had a few “why am I doing this” moments, but seeing it all come together made it worth it.
Building the Merry-Go-Round right after the ferris wheel shows some serious dedication. It is great to hear that your strong glue saved the day and you managed to finish despite the delicate pieces. Your finished piece looks fantastic and your persistence really paid off!
