Bringing out the hidden accents on my Cuckoo clock

Today is day 6 on the unpainted version and I am showing how I painted tiny pieces of paper and pasted them to the backside of cutouts in the wood. If any part shows, I will paint over the back sides.

This picture shows how those holes appear with the back inserts. My vision is finally coming to life.

Because of the green white and red. Got a bit of a christmas tree vibe to it.

The only reason for the red is because of the hearts and diamonds hidden throughout the puzzle. I was just looking for a woodsy vibe, yet you still have to have blue birds and water, etc. @Wenbare , @Jerry_Boswijk @Liset
