Painting this build is taking a lot longer than I expected, but that doesn’t matter because I really enjoy making it.

I’ve attached the battery box to the back. Another nice little detail I hadn’t noticed before is the bee nest on the door.

Today I made the railing and attached the birdhouse. The on/off switch is also finished. Today I tested the clock, and it seems to work perfectly. The bird comes out exactly on the hour and goes back in neatly. The beginning of the roof has already been painted but isn’t finished yet. Hopefully, I can finish the roof in the coming days, and then the cuckoo clock will be almost finished :grin:

WOW! The little diamonds on your corner boards are perfect. That is hard to do with such a stark color difference…but you nailed it. I just had to go take a peek at mine because I couldn’t recall if those were ‘cutouts’. Mine look nothing like yours and they are red on brown…LOL! SUPERB! Be back in 1/2 hour with some :heart_eyes:

Thank you @Nita_Davis :hugs:It was indeed difficult to paint and I had to do it twice because otherwise it wouldn’t have been opaque enough :sweat_smile: I’m a bit of a perfectionist but I’m happy with the end result
