Hi!

Today I’m sharing another one of my hobbies with you. It’s not rolife, but building with Japanese-style blocks.

I fell in love with this kit the moment I saw it, as I’m a huge Japanophile.

It has a large sakura tree, a torii gate with a geisha, petals scattered on the ground, a traditional lamp, and a photographer (I don’t need this one, haha).

The construction method is very different and good; it’s harder to break the pieces.

These blocks are very affordable and provide hours of building and enjoyment.

So far, this is the only one I’ve built.

It also has lighting!
On the back of the tree.

It’s a shame the lamp doesn’t light up.

I’d like to buy a transparent cube like the ones Rolife sells to protect it from dust.

This is so cute?! Japan makes and gets the cutest stuff! I’ve never seen these, but my goodness you have been able to make such a lovely scene! Beautiful!

Yes I have quite the little stash of smaller building blocks. I plan on doing a lot one day just for a change of pace. I have a Kombi camper van sitting with my Lego’s and waiting to be built.

Have you looked at some of the magnetic lights you can get on Temu? I haven’t actually used them but it might work with the lamp.

Oh, this is beautiful! Thanks a lot for sharing. I’m not quite a fan of Lego/cubic/X kind of kits, but I understand the general love or interest for them. And your build looks amazing.

I loved it because it’s Japanese style. And besides, it lights up.
