👍 [Beginner Tips] Parallel World Marble Run All-Direction Extension Part 1

Hi everyone!

I know I haven’t written anything in a while. My life has been incredibly hectic lately and it refuses to slow down, but more on that later!
I started building my long-awaited project, the ROKR Parallel World Marble Run All-Direction Extension!!!

Today I’ll share my impressions of the first part, The Future City. To be honest I really look forward to create this one. Some of you already know that I’m a terrible magpie and this set shines so beautifully that I couldn’t resist. :star_struck:

If this is your first time reading about it, there are four different sets that can be combined into one large project.

I chose the Future City model as copy A – but you can choose a different location for it in the instructions, which are very simple. You’ll see how easy it is to assemble the model in different positions just by following the steps marked in yellow.

I have to apologize to you all because I don’t have many photos, I was so absorbed that I forgot to document everything - I’ll fix that in the second part soon xD.

I love that each kit comes with a complete set of tools that are easily enough to build this model. So it’s quite simple for those just starting out and don’t have all the extra tools they might need. For example this magnetic stick :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: i love that i do not lost any tiny screws.

First part of assembling was so easy really! Since it’s plastic, there’s no need to use sandpaper, so all the parts are perfect right away. My OCD was ecstatic (joking ).
I don’t even know when, but I was already halfway through

In the blink of an eye (it probably took me just over 3 hours) I put it all together!

The second time my perfectionism was truly exhilarating was when I was arranging and connecting the cables on the back of the project. Once again, it’s incredibly simple and intuitive (and the instructions are great). See for yourself, isn’t it beautiful?!

My little tip here is to keep the foil on A side of the cover until you finish as the part it’s very finger-friendly and doesn’t look good :hand_with_fingers_splayed:t3:

The elevator was a challenge to build. I did it just to check how it works (this will be changed on later processes as I complete the advance play)

So here is a final result!

What do you think? I totally love this series can’t wait to build all and combine them later! :flexed_biceps:t3:

So private part now:
Lately, I’ve been a bit busier and haven’t had time for hobbies (included frequent visits and participation in our community ) because, well, be careful! I’m buying an apartment!!! . The paperwork doesn’t help make it a pleasant process… (so the transition is also an option).

This is the fulfillment of one of my three lifelong dreams. Truly! My own apartment, especially in the capital, is incredibly expensive, and I’ve been saving for it since I was a child (I’m not kidding). Since I was 15, I’ve worked every part-time job, worked abroad, and throughout my studies, saving money to buy my own apartment someday, and finally, it’s happening! It’s not large; 40 square meters might seem tiny to many people, but I love it because it will be mine.

Of course, I also have to take out a loan :money_with_wings:, as is typical for people in my country, so dealing with these matters is keeping me up at night. And I’m also slowly looking for furniture. Everything will happen and will be decided next month. Keep your fingers crossed please

As soon as I have my own little space, you can count on me being more involved in building new projects. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Till part 2 dears

First, I’ve never seen one of these marble runs in detail…it looks so intricate and fun!
Second… congratulations on your big life event of getting your very own apartment! My youngest son (25yrs old) is buying his first house, so I know the excitement and stress of it all . It’s a big and important decision that I don’t believe you will regret. You should be so incredibly proud of yourself!

First of all, congratulations on getting your own place! I’m SO happy for you! :pink_heart: A celebration is in order for such a milestone! It does get stressful sorting out the loan but be proud of yourself! When my partner and I bought our own place, we ended up getting lots of good secondhand furniture.

Okay now back to the build. I didn’t know they could be connected to each other as an extension so how cool is that. Thanks for sharing! I hope you’ll get your hands on all four of them!

This looks like it didn’t take you as long to do as I thought it would. That’s great that they can all join together though.
And congratulations on buying your first apartment. It seriously is a big achievement!

Oh wow! So that’s how you interconnect those Marble Runs, I’ve always kind of wondered about it. Thanks for the explanations!

Also, I’m so happy for you and your lifelong dreem fulfillments. Loans are typical in many countries around the world for that kind of thing, but the best part of it is that you’re achieving your goals in life. There’s nothing better than that!

Thank you dear. I know it looks scary and complicated but to be hones I think it was one of the easiest kits I’ve done so far. The industrial vibe gives this complexity and the lighting (neon vibe) but everything matched perfectly so it’s so relaxing to build  also the marble runs smoothly in first try so no problems at all

Awwww thanks Tina and congratulations to your youngest! It’s a big deal also for him expecialy in such a young age to own a house! Is it the same city as yours or some other part of the country?

I do feel proud to be honest. Many people who are still my age live with their parents because they do not save money and just live day by day - angry that the apartments are so expensive.

Thank you Jade for those kind words and sharing the joy with me  I actually have a similar plan if it goes to furniture.

The kitchen and bathrooms are already done so we just need some tables, a bed, and a wardrobe. I actually have my own materac so even if at the begining i would sleep just putting it on the ground is also fine. I will slowly buy what I need :flexed_biceps:t3:

P.S. I already have 4 of them so I just need a moment of free time to assemble and with share with you!
