👍 [Beginner Tips] Elsa's Tailor Shop - Update #2 for

Today was a little more tedious. Lots of tiny props to build.

Whenever I have similar build but with a few things, I will label them as the directions say. I did this with Cathys Flower house and it really helped when I placed the different plants. Some of you may choose to do your own thing but I find it helps me.

As you can see I had alot of fabric cutting to do and all different sizes with different placements within the shop. Some of the directions were a little confusing for taping and wrapping but some fabric was two sided and either side would work, where as some had just one side and if I taped wrong it would basically been white.

The little tiny bottles next to the flowers are supposed to be perfume bottles. I chose to glue so they did not come apart.
Any time I used the little pearls ( for bottles and buttons on dress) they really did not have adhesive that worked so I did glue those.

I put a little note on the sewing machine. I was a little too speedy and put the silver cover on and realized I needed to put sewing foot on first AND make sure it was faced correctly.

Finally the Dress and form ( pic below of form). For the form, the directions confused me with the warning picture. I figured out that the back of form has different size holes that go into the stand, than the front form. That is the warning. Also remember to put the little gold topper on before you snap together or you will be trying to pry apart! :upside_down_face::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Hoping this is helpful to all.

Two peas in a pod. @Liset I will be searching for something I had in my hand less than two minutes ago because I set it “in a safe spot”…Like on top of a bottle of paint…

With the different sizes, this helped. The directions kind of made errors and lableed them with two differnet letters but I worked through!

I admit I have ADHD as does everyone else in my family. I had to figure out how to organize or we would all be lost. as a nurse-same. I had to force myself to ensure safe care was always given, and I gotta say - I did this well!

Yes, you have. I admire your tenacity. I am so unorganized when building. @jeanneL

Thank you so much for sharing all these helpful details and tips! :cherry_blossom:
Your step-by-step notes show so much care and experience, especially about labeling parts and handling the tricky fabrics. Those little insights about the perfume bottles, pearls, and even the sewing machine are going to save others a lot of time and frustration!

I love how you organise your little items. All details are looking great. Will wait for your next update.

hahaha very recognizable @Nita_Davis

We all learn from our mistakes and from the good tips others give  so thanks again for sharing

Wow, i definitely understand why you did this. I don’t have adhd but i would also not be able to keep things apart with so many items

That was my goal! Thank you. For many it might be intuitive but even if I help a few, then I am very glad!

Thanks Jill! I finished it last night and will do the final update soon! It came out great!

Cathys Flower house with tons of plants taught me this. The instructions would say Plant #5. then have 3 different plants all within that. And one was 5a, one 5b, and one 5c. Each would have a different location on the build. I kept having to go back to see which was which! In addition some of the directions were updated and things did not look anything like the assembly. This helped for sure!
