Oh wow, what an absolute joy it’s been so far to keep building this amazing Christmas wonder! The process of giving the “wrapping factory line” area the main facades and roof, as well as the full lightning, was indeed a satisfying marble! And what a tricky and interesting process it is to wrap the lights around those triangle symbol areas. It’s also a nice visual guideline for it
Just two tips for whoever is not in this step yet. Beware!
Page 28 of the manual, second half. Right when you’re putting together F9 and A46, be really careful with those F10 and F11 pieces, they can break by looking at them! I was lucky enough the pack provided with spare F11 ones, phew.
First image of page 29 of the manual. While adding the C7-F12 combination to the main structure, be careful where and how you hold it! Sadly I was unaware I was doing it from below the C7 part and I broke a couple of those tiny golden decoration bits. I’ll need to think of how to fix that! They’re just tiny details, but details make the art, right?
Either way, this is looking better and better day by day! Let me just give you a short video of the results so far. I can’t stop pressing that button, really! Hopefully I won’t consume the lights energy before Christmas, lol.
PS: I just found out I left one light of the long cord behind the “Qualified” machine thing, so you can kind of see the small gift moving behind it through the small gap between the pieces. I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself correctly. Is that supposed to happen? I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to notice that lol
PS2: Yeah, yeah, I know, I assembled incorrectly the small moving gift so you can see half the ribbon in red and half in wood. Can’t fix it now haha it’s a minor thing though. Maybe I’ll try and carefuly paint it later?
Either way, so far so good and I’m happy with the process!
Maybe use some super glue and a pair of tweezers to put thr broken stuff back in place. The gift you can pull out of the hole if im correct and change the bow to the correct way.
I cant tell the mistake that means its fine and you can just roll with it!
You are doing a great job! Thanks for sharing all of the tips because i am yet to build this one but have it here and i am learning a lot from you and others who post! Appreciate it!
It’s looking absolutely amazing already! I love how much detail and care you’re putting into it. Those tricky light sections and tiny pieces can be a real challenge, but you’ve handled them so well. Your enthusiasm really shows through, and honestly, the moving gift detail just makes it even more charming!
