Hosted my first special Student Crafting meetup last night at the University of New York at Albany. We had a wonderful time with 25 college students of so many different backgrounds and majors but all sharing an evening of crafting in community. Everyone arrived and enjoyed pizza and soda while learning about Rolife. I was so lucky to have a special guest of @Pluck-The-Bunny , the moderator of the r/booknooks community on Reddit. (If you aren’t a member please join!) He brought a wonderful new Pluck branded tool he made for sanding tiny tabs and edges and gave one to each participant, and talked about the miniature world and showed off some of his Rolife and ROKR builds. Another special guest was my pup Cooper who enjoyed greeting all the guests and getting tummy rubs (and trying unsuccessfully to steal pizza. ) Everyone got to work and for the next 3 hours everyone focused on their builds and chatting while Pluck and I went from table to table to give suggestions and assistance as needed. It was a great evening introducing young people to this great hobby and the Rolife brand!
Congratulations on a very successful meet up event! You probably need to make the events more often as there are more on the waitlist. I am so glad that a lot if people are getting interested in this hobby. Cheers!
