This is a recap of my first DIY & Crafting Club Meetup, a collaboration between UTFOLD x Robotime
Date/Location: May 24, 2026, 12 to 3 pm @ the University of Toronto - St. Georgo Campus

Since many users on this forum are not from Canada, I want to introduce the club I collaborated with. ![]()
The University of Toronto is Canada’s top university and ranked top 25 in the world. The university has many clubs, including the origami club (UTFOLD). The club is full of young students who also love to make crafts and share a very similar hobby with the members of the Robotime community.
I knew they would be there perfect group to collaborate with for my first event,
Our Set Up
We had the UTFOLD and Robotime banners displayed outside the door to welcome participants in. The snacks and kits were displayed at the front of the room and we had a projector displaying the Robotime slides beside the event poster. I also had three of my own models on display, next to the Baby Nanci Blindboxes. I wanted to bring some more complicated models, but couldn’t find a way to bring them safely, so please let me know if you have any tips. ![]()
Participants had the following 20 kits to choose from based on a first come first serve basis:
- Rolife Catherine’s Living Room DIY Miniature House DG175 (x5)
- Rolife Night of the Eiffel Tower 3D Wooden Puzzle TGL01 (x5)
- Rolife Sakura Bonsai DIY Wooden 3D Puzzle TG415 (x5)
- Rolife Sakura Wine Alley DIY Book Nook TGB11 (x5)
The Participants
We had approximately 25 human participants and one non-human participant join the event
.
(Some participants had to leave early and could not make it into the group photo.)
Unfortunately, since it is the summer term right now, a lot of students are off from school or on vacation and could not join. Since this club can have up to 50 participants during a busy school term. But we still able to book out the event in 3 hours!
The Vibes
The event had a relaxed vibe, it gave participants the opportunity to craft will listening to some chill music and enjoy some snacks. For the majority of the participants this was their first Robotime kit and introduction to the company!
The kits each had their own unique traits and were great for beginners to try, a lot of progress was made during the event ![]()
Nanci Blindboxes
We had two Baby Nanci blindboxes to pick from during the event:
- Baby Nanci Fruites (x12)
- Baby Nanci Milk Tea (x3)
Both are so cute, and the baby Nanci blindboxes went really fast. We had all 15 participants post about their experience! Unfortunately we had some technical issues and some participants who wanted to post about the event had their accounts put hold and couldn’t get a Nanci
.
Some participants who were not able to RSVP a kit still stayed to folded some origami instead.

Thank you so much @Robotime for making this event happen and giving this amazing opportunity for us! ![]()
I would also like to thank the Execs at UTFOLD for helping with this collaboration, as it would not be possible with out them. ![]()
