A Little Flower Truck (non-Robotime)

Found this little kit at Ross for $12 the other day, so I thought I’d throw it together real quick. This kit was by SelfMade Creative (which I had never heard of before).

The box was small but heavy. I’m pretty sure it was all still plywood but it was thick boards.

There were no loose pieces, only parts to pop out of the boards. The flowers are a little cartoon-ish for my personal tastes but I figured I can replace them later if I really felt inclined. In the meantime, there were a lot to choose from and the freedom to put them anywhere I wanted.

Initially the truck was all pink… but I hate pink and opted to recolor the front end green instead. I also painted some lil sunflowers on the seats.

And here’s how it came out! It was a super easy build, definitely meant for beginners/young people, but I still like it a lot. I knew I couldn’t paint better sunflowers than they printed on the truck, so I left the truck bed pink. I might go back and repaint some other bits later, but for now, I’m with it.

Of course I added a cat.

Well, of course you added a cat.! This is a really cute kit and you did a great job. I have to remember tolook for these sorts of kits one day. I’m not much on clothes shopping so Ross is somewhere I MIGHT go once a year maybe.

I never knew this either. @Gidge I did check back in the toy area..and they had the globe for like 40 or 45 dollars. Heck, that is almost full price.

I got lucky on my trip to Ross too and bought a kit with unfamiliar brand. Probably the same one as yours or similar as the boards are thick too. This one looks neat and pretty!

They have quite a selection. From clothes, shoes, home appliances, home decor, beauty products and accesories, baby stuff, stationaries section, pet section, toys and luggages too plus electronics. They have good deals at bargain prices. There’s this one time that I got some clearance tags are only worth $1 or $2 for an evening and party dress.

Thanks, @Vangie! I used to go to Ross with my cousins just to browse the clothes, but I could never stay very long because seeing so much fabric in one place would give me a headache. It’s probably why I never noticed miniature kits.

This turned out so cute! I love how you made the truck your own with the green front and those little sunflowers on the seats. And of course, adding a cat was the perfect finishing touch! It sounds like such a fun little kit, especially for a quick build.
