Well… this was an unexpected break. I really wanted to get my Miller’s Garden finished. I went to the emergency room on Saturday around noon because I had an infected ulcer on my big toe that would not go away. I ended up being shipped off to a different hospital over 100 miles from home where they have a vein specialist. We are on day three of all kinds of testing to figure out what is going on.
These hospital gowns really leave a lot to be desired. I know they say that one size fits all but I weigh about 95 lb and my whole waist could fit in the arm of this gown. Every time I move I have to wonder which body part is being exposed. On a good note, I am eating three square meals a day VS. Staring at hay in a wagon and thinking about French fries. The only problem is that they feed you at 7:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. and then 5:30 p.m.. I am starving Again by 8:00 all of my nurses are very nice and they will bring me snack packs whenever I ask for them. I am going to become a pudding fanatic while here. Since I can’t do anything with modeling or puzzles, I am stuck watching remodeling shows on TV. I am hoping that they will finish up any testing that they want to do in the next couple of days so that I can go back home. My mom had to take over my dog sitting job so when I get home I am hoping to get that Miller’s Garden out of my space and move on to something else. In the meantime, I am happy to be seeing everybody else’s projects going on and enjoy cheering you all on.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I hope the doctors find the cause soon and that you’re back home, feeling better, and enjoying your miniatures again before long. Wishing you a smooth recovery.
Thanks so much… this is something that I have been dealing with for about 17 years but on a smaller scale. Hoping that they can get to the bottom of this @Smith42
