After many tests for colors with neon paints, they are still not appearing true to color with a camera…OR UV light. Original colors as they appear to me…orange, yellow, green, red, white and black. So weird.
Wow, you’ve really dug deep into painting!
The second one has a haunted house vibe.
Maybe, we should consider create ‘Painting Class’ tag for you to share your painting research and experience.
That will be really cool. That way, if someone is looking for something specific about painting the kits, they can find it more easily.
The color change is strange, but really interesting at the same time. It gives it such an original touch, and the fact that it shows different colors with and without light is fascinating. Keep it up @Nita_Davis it’s turning out great!
that’s a great idea, I think a lot of people can learn from @Nita_Davis
I think it’s cool that different colors are visible; it gives your creation an extra special effect Google says the following: Seeing a different color under UV light is a result of fluorescence, where substances absorb UV light and emit visible light of a different wavelength.
Well thank you…@Robotime. I am always willing to share my techniques on each build as I go…but a painting “class”. Not my style. I am a wreck when “creating”.
@Liset …I’ve done tons of Googling and tons of “tests” on a blank piece of wood. I’ve tried tonic water (which has quinine in it) for a different effect. Laundry detergents, toothpaste with whiteners…LOL! You name it, I’ve done it. Still not pleased with some results.
@Liset I think you would be a great candidate for a painting “class”. I am SO not into videos and such.
Thanks @Wenbare . This model will be a long drawn out process…as these rails are the ONLY part of the build I have done.
It’s going to look amazing. You’ll see. The effort will be totally worth it!
@Nita_Davis haha me neither, but I think @Robotime meant to make a mini class like the previous mini classes
I’ve never seen a mini class that you peak of…@Liset
OH…I reread this…a Painting class TAG! Gotcha! @Robotime
