I haven’t even attempted this test yet…LOL! @Suzanne_Jones
I got 80/100, 2 wrongs but accidentally scrolled without taking a screenshot and re-doing the challenge would be cheating so here I am score-less ![]()

The red spot that left a huge mark on me would be the phrase writing under Laarbi Ben Mehidi’s portrait in Ali La Pointe’s home
It translates to:
“Throw the revolution in the streets, it’ll be embraced by the people”
For a little bit of context:
This portrait was drawn on one of martyrs home’s during the French occupation, Ali La Pointe, he used to be to treat Mujahideen or combatants in that very same house and was a real pain to the French forces so when he was found they bombed the house with him in it and a few other combatants, because that wasn’t enough the French soldiers started roaming the remains of the house poking them with a metal rod searching to make sure the martyrs (combatants at that time) were actually dead.
So this is not the real house we’re talking about but rather what remained of it was renovated by our government and made into a museum in respect of the martyrs and their efforts.
And ofc I took my nanci with me on this tour around the capital which I’ll hopefully post about soon!!
Side note:
This prize is my favorite nanci series ever ![]()

so hopefully hopefully I’ll have a chance at winning this one ![]()

My spouse and I (him especially) try to be knowledgeable about the world, geography, etc. and I’m really kicking myself for the ones I missed.
One I’d never miss, though: The Temple Bar.
I’m an American, and my University’s Marching Band (300+ band geeks) was invited to attend the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland
in 2013. It was my 2nd year in college and this trip was the experience of a lifetime.
(I’m the short one in front in the picture
). Mistakes were made, fun was had, and music was played. But the night we were told the airline company that was supposed to take us home went on strike and we were stranded… well, what better place than to drink our worries away than The Temple Bar?
People who were friends became lovers (no joke), people who were strangers became friends. Typical and unusual college shenanigans, but Ireland will always have a special place in my heart after this trip.
Honorable mention goes out to my unmentioned home state:
I live in the state Colorado, which is anglicized Spanish for “color rojo”, rojo (pronounced ro-ho) =
, named for the distinct red coloring found in many of our mountains and rock formations. I live just a 20-minute (or so) drive from this unique spot named “Devil’s Backbone”, where you can see some of the beautiful red banding in the rocks ![]()
Thank you! But i have to admit, 2 or 3 were just guesses ![]()
My best memory is the red Lighthouse in Grand Haven Michigan. It is one of my favorite places to visit. The lighthouse is located in Grand Haven State Park. It has a fantastic beach and cute town. It’s a great place for camping as well.
@Sasa I’m fine just admiring it from afar ![]()
This is also mine score
Tokyo is really a beautiful place ![]()
Beijing is one of my favourite place in my wishlist
Good score & I think Canada is so good to visit in autumn ![]()
Agree, staying at Sommerset House is everyones dream
Yeah, London’s Red Telephoto Booth is so iconic thing to observe
Great story, loved it. It is always nice to see when someone start building something & complete that
Impressive score, 100 on 100 wasn’t as easy as it looks
Nice scenic place, btw is that a building?
I agree, not every place have their iconic beauty but still you can find in your everyday life
No it isn’t @Vinay. It’s the largest rock monolith in the world.
I was unaware of the significant deposit in Australia ![]()
