:clapper_board::sparkles: About the Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most famous and prestigious film festivals in the world. Held every year in Cannes, France, it brings together filmmakers, actors, critics, and movie lovers from around the globe.

Since its first edition in 1946, Cannes has become a celebration of cinema, creativity, storytelling, and visual imagination. Many iconic films have premiered there, and the festival’s top award, the Palme d’Or, is one of the highest honors in the film industry.

Just like a miniature world, a great movie scene can capture a whole story in one small moment… a street, a room, a glance, a memory, or a dream.

We can’t wait to see which movie scene you’ll bring into your mini world~
Lights, camera, miniature magic! :popcorn::clapper_board::sparkles:

i love the film Notting Hill because of the bookshop Hugh Grant has

I love the anime Sailor Moon; the famous Tokyo Tower always appears in that anime, so a kit of that tower would be ideal!

I know there are already some LOTR inspired kits. But to capture the true magic of Bag End in The Shire, would be truly amazing.

When asking AI for inspiration, it comes up with the following, which I find adorable.

I find the story of Romeo and Juliet very beautiful. It doesn’t matter what background you come from, love conquers all :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I once went to Verona, Italy to visit the balcony.

I’ve always loved this movie. Even though it’s an animated film, the meaning behind it feels incredibly deep, and every time I watch it, I come away with new feelings and reflections.

This train scene especially stayed with me. It reminds me so much of life — like riding a train where different people enter and leave your journey along the way. Some stay longer, some only appear for a short moment, but every encounter becomes part of the story.

That’s why this scene has always felt so unforgettable to me :sparkles:

My favorite show would have to be The Apothecary Diaries, a scene that would make a great miniture is when Jinshi and Maomao are in Jinshi’s study! So many plot twists happened in that room!

My second favorite is Stranger Things, it would be so cool to see the room where the alphabet wall is as a miniture!

I would love to see an Owen’s sisters

greenhouse like the one from Practical Magic. I think it would be adorable with plants, herbs, and all kinds of apothecary tables and cabinets. Containers and potion bottles scattered around along with spell books

If I could turn any movie-inspired moment into a miniature world, I’d choose a dreamy evening beneath the Eiffel Tower.

Not just the landmark itself, but the feeling around it — glowing golden lights reflecting on rain-soaked streets, tiny café tables with half-finished cups of coffee, soft accordion music drifting through the air, and couples walking slowly along the Seine as if time has paused for them.

In miniature form, every detail would feel magical. The tower sparkling above everything like a scene from an old romantic film.

Some places in films are exciting.
But Paris under the Eiffel Tower feels alive — warm, cinematic, and unforgettable.

I don’t have such a scene made into reality YET but my favorite scene of all time would be Willy Wonka letting the kids into the candy room where everything is edible.

That would be an amazing book nook

Thank you so much for asking about our opinions @Robotime

Whimsical Thursday has me dreaming of magical landscapes. I would love to turn the iconic Hogwarts arrival (from Harry Potter movie) into a miniature world. From the tiny intricate red train to the dragons soaring above the Great Hall, it’s a scene that truly captures the charm Rolife kits are known for. This kind of detail is why I love the intersection of cinema and crafting.

The 2nd movie in my mind is “My Neighbor Totoro”. To me, the magic of cinema is best captured in the whimsical world of Studio Ghibli. I would love to see the forest from ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ in miniature form. From the rustic details of the family house to the glowing Catbus and the giant camphor tree, it’s a world that feels like a warm hug. Just as the Cannes Film Festival celebrates visual imagination, this miniature captures the pure, nostalgic joy of a childhood dream.

3rd & the last would be “Avatar” and to bring the magic of cinema to life, I would choose to recreate the bioluminescent world of Pandora from ‘Avatar’. A miniature of Pandora allows a creator to explore bioluminescent lighting and floating landscapes in a way few other films can offer. Seeing the floating Hallelujah Mountains and the glowing jungle in a miniature format like I shared below, is a builder’s dream. And Just like the Cannes Film Festival celebrates groundbreaking visual imagination, building a scene like this one honors the high standards of film-inspired art.

My daughter would be all over that one. I’m still hiding the fact the Lego is doing a LOTR KIT. It’s not cheap.
