Weekly Small Talks 02 & Global Festival Activity 08 | A Letter to My Child 💌

Thank you Tricia. She’s our favorite subject.

You are the sweetest mom, Sofie. Your 3 children are so lucky!

This is so heartwarming. Soon, if you’ll have a kid, for sure they will have the best parents.

Thank youa Tricia :sparkling_heart: it means a lot! And thank you for praying for me :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

He’s such a kind one, Alice. That’s because of how you raise him. So proud of you!

She’s such a beautiful girl, Grey. You’re doing an amazing job. She’s wonderful, and that’s clearly because of her parents. :two_hearts:

Even though you’re not a mother by circumstance, the way you’ve poured love, guidance, and joy into the lives of your niece, your “littles,” and even your precocious labradoodle shows the true spirit of motherhood in action.

Dear Son,

Watching you reach 44 years old is something I could never fully put into words. One moment it feels like yesterday that you were young and looking to me for answers, and the next I look at you and see a man who has built a life through strength, experience, sacrifice, and perseverance.

I want you to know how proud I am of you—not because life has always been easy or perfect, but because you kept going through it all. Life has a way of testing us, shaping us, humbling us, and teaching us lessons we never expected to learn. Through all of it, you became someone with depth, wisdom, and character.

At 44, you’ve likely spent many years carrying responsibilities, solving problems, worrying about others, and trying to do your best even when nobody noticed. I hope you also remember to give yourself credit for how far you’ve come. The world doesn’t always stop to recognize the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward, but I see it.

No matter how old you get, you will always be my son. That never changes. I still hope for your happiness, pray for your peace, and want good things for your future. I hope you continue to chase what matters to you, laugh often, protect your heart, and never lose sight of who you are.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that time moves faster than we think. So I hope you make room for the people you love, the memories worth keeping, and the moments that bring you real joy. Success means many things, but a life filled with love, purpose, and connection matters most.

Thank you for being part of my life and for all the ways you’ve touched the lives of others. I hope you know how deeply you are loved and appreciated.

Happy 44th birthday, Son.

With all my love,

Dad

This is my letter to my three precious children:

Watching the bond between the three of you has been one of the greatest joys. No matter what happens, you are always standing by each other’s side, protecting, supporting, and loving one another. That kind of love is rare and beautiful, and it makes me so proud every single day.

Your laughter filling our home, the little fights that never lasted long, the hugs, the tears, and all the moments that became memories too precious to forget. As you grow older, my greatest wish is not for you to be perfect, but simply to be happy and healthy.

Always remember that family love matters the most. Things will change, people will come and go, but the love you share as siblings is something truly special. Hold onto it, protect it, and never take it for granted.

I hope all of you continue to spread kindness and love wherever you go. Be gentle with others, help those in need, and always choose love over anger. The world needs more caring hearts like yours.

I want you to know this: No matter how old you become, you will always be my babies, and I will always love you with all my heart.

What a powerful message. You will be an amazing mother one day. @Tricia12

Beautifully written, Mike. @Harley

I SO wish you well on your journey. This WILL come to fruition for you. @Minus_88

Thank you for that Nita.

You’re so very welcome. @Harley

Thank you so much :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:

Mymy,

You are an adult now, can you believe it!?Starting senior year with multiple college credits under your belt. Flying off to Japan in a week for 2 weeks. Making major strides in your life. I know when you were younger, you struggled so hard to regulate your feelings but YOU DID IT! You finally found who you were and embraced it whole heartedly. Im so proud of you and I can’t wait to see what the rest of your life has in store for you. Thank you for being my daughter.

  • **⏃lways, mom**

To my firstborn,

I still remember your smile when you were little — you were such a happy boy, always laughing, always finding joy in small things. Then came big school, and with it came challenges no child should have to face. Even through bullying and pressure, you still did your best. You made it to the honors class, but I saw how much it cost you inside.

That’s why I never pushed you too hard. I knew you were already carrying more than people realized. You were always intelligent — the kind who could pass without even studying while others struggled despite trying so hard. But life kept testing you anyway.

You fought through college, scholarships, setbacks, changing paths, starting over, and years of uncertainty. And even when things took longer than planned, you never gave up. Today, seeing you working hard in the job you wanted makes me so proud of you.

I hope you know this: your strength was never in being perfect or fast. It was in continuing, even when life became heavy.

And that is something I will always admire about you.

Love,

Mom

My Dearest Janine,

Seeing you now as a loving mother to Jade Sky fills my heart with so much joy and pride. Watching you build your own beautiful family reminds me of how far you have come and how much love you have always carried in your heart.

You have done so much for our family through the years, and I want you to know that I have always been proud of you. You faced life with strength, kindness, and determination, and now I see those same beautiful qualities in the way you love and care for your own daughter.

Jade Sky has truly become my world, my forever love. Every smile, every laugh, and every moment with her is a blessing that I treasure deeply. And whenever I look at her, I also see you — the amazing woman and mother you have become.

Sometimes I think to myself that I must have done something good in this life because I was blessed with a daughter like you. Seeing you live a good life, filled with love, happiness, and purpose, is one of the greatest gifts a mother could ever ask for.

Thank you for being who you are — thoughtful, loving, strong, and selfless. No matter how much time passes, you will always be my little girl, and I will always be here for you.

I love you always and forever.

Love,
Mommy Joi

Thanks @Nita_Davis . I hope so.

I don’t have children of my own, but my niece — my brother’s daughter — has always felt like my own child in many ways.

Watching her grow up from a little girl into a 27-year-old medical student has been something very special to me. So when I saw this topic, there were actually many things I wanted to say to her.
