My daughter turned 4 years old yesterday. She is growing so fast. She is smart, beautiful, resilient, and a joy. I am very blessed to be her mom!
Pets are definitely family. I would treat them like my kids too ![]()

Me and my husband also struggled conceiving when we got married. It took us 3 years before we had our daughter. I hope in time, you will also be blessed with a little one. ![]()
I love this. Today is the birthday of my youngest (now 35). Some of my favorite memories with he and his older brother revolve around Halloween time. They always loved dressing up and I created some pretty amazing costumes for them, depending on what they were into at the time. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Peter Pan and Captain Hook, clowns, Hubby Bear (from Starsky and Hutch). I have some pretty adorable pics from those days. I also loved helping them with dioramas and science fair projects. My youngest (Brandon) started doing wooden puzzle models during the pandemic. I later discovered them on a visit a couple of years later. After mentioning them to my older son (Matt, now 43) while fishing for Christmas ideas…he surprised ME with one for Christmas in 2024. It was the beginning of a wonderful journey for me and both are thrilled that I have found something I enjoy as much as I do. Both are happy, well-respected young men with wonderful partners in their lives. I am so proud of them and their accomplishments. The youngest is a well-established painter in his area and the other is a purchasing manager for a large event center in Portland. So to them, I would love to say thank you…for all of the wonderful fun times we’ve had…and let them know that I look forward to many more. I am also very thankful to all of the folks who allow me to “parent” their furbabies…Trixie, Hans, Chewy, Grayson, Daisy Mae, Marley, Buddy, Miko and Mary.
Good luck to the parents
hopefully your children will appreciate you, grow up to be good adults and that you’ll always be their safe space when life closes on them and you get the best parents they dream of

Now that my girls are grown, I can still vividly recall how I felt about them. When my oldest was born, it was truly a wonderful day. She was so small then, and she’s grown into such a special woman. She’s kind, caring, and always ready to lend a hand. I still remember her smile and twinkling eyes.
My youngest was a bit under the weather when she arrived, but she’s also turned out to be a wonderful person.
The best part about both of them is my grandkids. I’ll always be grateful to them for that.
They’re my reason for living.
Yes! You grow so fond of them, and they give unconditional love.
Thank you for sharing @Orangesareus Wishing you strength and may your heart be filled with love and positivity along the way.
I haven’t had any kids yet but it is the journey that I always dream of. I even picked out a name for my children in the future too. If I will be blessed with a child, this is my message to them.
My Dearest Child,
Happy 18th Birthday my beautiful child.
I am writing this letter today with a heart full of memories, specifically thinking about the days we spent flying kites together. Watching you run against the wind, holding tight to the string, and looking up at the sky with pure joy is an image I will treasure forever. Now, as you open this on your 18th birthday, you are the one ready to take flight into the adult world.
As you navigate the road ahead, please always carry these truths in your heart: you are incredibly capable, you are profoundly resilient, and you are worthy of every good thing this world has to offer. Don’t hold back in your journey, be ready to fly freely just like the kites we always fly every summer afternoon. Above all else, remember to be kind. In a world where you can be anything, your empathy and compassion will always be your greatest superpowers. Life will inevitably bring seasons of change and challenge, but I hope you meet them with a brave heart, a gentle spirit, and a willingness to lift others up. Never lose that unique spark that makes you exactly who you are, and let your goodness be a light for those around you. No matter how big you grow, how far you travel, or what paths you choose to walk, my love for you remains a constant anchor. I am, and always will be, your biggest cheerleader.
We held the string and watched it rise,
A colorful kite across the skies.
Now here you stand at eighteen years,
Ready to face your dreams and fears.
The world is wide, the sky is blue,
There is so much ahead for you.
When shadows fall and doubts arise,
Look up at the unchanging skies.
With gentle words and open hands,
Be the heart that understands.
So take your steps and fly so free,
Spread love and grace where you may be.
But close or far, or old or new,
My endless love will follow you.
With all my love, always
Your mother
