Update spaceshuttle

Spend a few hours on the spaceshuttle again today. Using the tips from the crew from robotime. Sanded and wax again and again. Still not totally satified but decided to move on and take the gamble on it wil work later on. Hopefully get to stage 2 testing tomorrow. Got most of the electronics on to the switchboard. Cant wait to test it

Your build looks great so far. Stage 2 testing is going to be so exciting—I’m crossing my fingers everything runs smoothly. Keep us posted, I’m really looking forward to seeing how it all comes together!

This looks great so far! Hopefully it will works better if your build is done. The wood looks different than in other structures, is that right?

Yes it a combo of wooden parts with are thinner and the thick parts are pressed cardboard. It connects really wel and no splinters when removing it from the plate.

Thank you so much for your help. Just did fase 2 testing and works great. Only thing is the wood on top of the switch doesn’t press down enough to active the switch so i need to put a little piece of wood beneath it i think.

Hopefully the paint won’t soak in too much when I paint it :wink:

I would indeed be very careful. The build is very thight in some spots amd I think paint might make the wood become thicker

I have never had the problem of the wood not fitting together after I painted it :wink:
