Good to know. I will search for them
Do you take the part out first then paint or paint it first then push it out? I have to paint with the Ice-Cream shop too.
I take it out first and then paint because otherwise there would be raw edges once popped out.
Isnt it!
i will be sure to keep you all updated!
Good luck!
Does your paint dry up quickly?
Really like the older style kits too making use of different skills and techniques
Looks like a fun one to do!
It is. The painting part is fun even though it is taking a lot of time.
Oh yes…painting turns a 3 hour puzzle into 10 days for me…LOL @Tricia12
It is very time consuming
Very fast!
Definitely gives you a lot more to do to get a kit complete! Stretches the time it takes out a bit.
Yes! I LOVE the old style kits! They are a tonne of fun for me! ![]()
Painting is a bit time consuiming depending what you have to paint. It dries fast but it takes a few coats. I dont mind the time it takes to make a kit last a big longer. For me i can finish the new style kits so fast, these old style kits that take me a week instead of 1 or 2 days or a few hours LOL just seem like better value for money for me. Im finished painting the pink now though so i will start assembling this morning! ![]()
A little update, i just wanted to show how these old style kits are so intricate and involved.
These little handles are all cut from wire at 11mm long and then flattened out with plyers, then bent into shape to make handles.
Such a beautiful little cabinet and im SO PROUD of those handles lol
In a new style kit the handles would of been plastic and they would have just pushed into pre existing holes.
These old kits are slow going but its a different type of dopamine you get from them. Not instant but really gratifying!
Very nice!
Thanks!
You did well with those handles. It is so hard to bend into the right shape
Thanks! They werent too tricky but they certainly arent perfect and all the same haha
