My first piece from the Sakura series is this cherry blossom treehouse. I’ve been working on it for a few days and I’m only about ten pages in — turns out there are almost fifty in total. But I’m not rushing it. I’m really enjoying every single piece.
So far I’ve built some of the flowers, the tree itself, and the base. The colors and the tiny details are honestly so beautiful. The only thing I’d complain about is that it doesn’t come with lights, so I’ll probably figure out a way to add some later.
I also spent extra time painting parts of it. I didn’t paint everything because I want to keep that natural wood feel — it is a wooden treehouse after all — but I touched up a few areas.
One of the parts that made me unexpectedly excited was building a tiny little telescope. I can place it outside the house for stargazing, or keep it inside — that small detail just makes the whole scene feel alive.
And thank you to everyone who gave me tips — I was right not to use the double-sided tape for the cherry blossoms. Glue definitely holds everything much more securely. And I got lots hahaha I am ready for my next projects
Hahaha it’s actually a bulk buy! After I brought my friends to the workshop, some of them got super into miniatures, so this T8000 is for the whole group. We basically started a tiny crafting club
And yesss, little Keung To is sooo cute and fits the house perfectly. I’m so happy with how it turned out — he really makes the whole vibe feel more cheerful
As for the glue, it should be fine as long as I close it tightly and clean the nozzle. It doesn’t dry that easily if you seal it properly!
I built the tree house about a month ago. It wasn’t an easy build… definitely had to take time on it and make sure not to skip any steps. I glued a handful of connections as I went along to…. Then a lot when I was done. I really like your idea of painting some of the edges. I think I’ll go back and do that!
Oh, the Cherry Blossom Tree House is such a gorgeous kit! The mini figs in your photos are such a fun touch — they really bring the scale to life. Since it doesn’t have built-in lighting, a lighted display box would make this one look absolutely stunning!
