It’s been a while since I posted about wanting to make the kits I will build this year my own. I didn’t want to change Becka’s Baking House too much. I like the original design (as I like all the kits I have) and wanted to keep it just as it was meant to be.

Pan de red (kalihim) is a bread I grew up with. It’s something I still buy from our local bakery every now and then—simple, familiar, and comforting. Adding it to this miniature felt like quietly placing a memory on the shelf.
No redesigns, no big changes—just a small detail that holds a lot of meaning. It’s not perfect—but it’s probably that imperfection that makes it feel more personal.
So that’s it. Becka’s baking house may be complete but I don’t think I’m done. Now that I’ve figured how I want to “personalize” my builds, I’d like to be able to revisit and make changes to each and everyone when inspiration strikes or an idea pops up.
Time to spin the wheel again. Any guesses what the wheel will pick for me next?
Oooohhh…My vote goes for My Melody. It is such a cute model. I loved it. I also love that you added that one ‘special touch’. In my most recent build, I changed everything pretty much. I did have to add a funnel cake and cotton candy to my amusement part build as well because those are never missing from any amusement park I’ve attended. Well done!
Ooh I hope the Muse Bookshop. You did a great job on the bakery @Gidge. And lovely to have a personal touch. At the end of the day this is a hobby to be enjoyed, so whether it is customised or not should only be if it makes us happy. Sometimes it is just nice to build in the moment xx
I love the little detail you added so much <<33 it actually made me realize I should start adding cute little things such as some sort of unique touch?? And I vote for the none robotime kit, the one with three books stacked together I’ve seen on e-shops and it looks so unique
