So, this morning when I get to work I found out that it was Mrs C’s birthday (she’s 96).
I went to give her a hug and apologise because I didn’t have a gift for her because she had kept quiet about it.
She gave me a hug and told me that I was her favourite gift (oh what a sweetie).
So tonight, I made a gift for her.
And this is the first time that I have ended up with sore thumbs! But I’m so happy with how it turned out. And only one broken piece!!
I think when I buy this again, I will paint it a brighter orange.

Overall, this was such an easy build but took me about 3 hours because of painting the edges.
I was very impressed at how the base came together as well
Such a great gift idea from Robotime.

The final result looks fantastic! I understand your wish about a brighter orange though. Nice job!

I’ve generally found these Rowood flower kits being mainly pretty quick builds.

She is very gracious and will tell me that she loves it even if she doesn’t lol

I was hoping that the colour would pop more but it is what it is.
I probably slow my flower builds down by painting the edges.

She is a good age. She was recently on radio and in the newspapers with two of her friends that she grew up with. They all live in the care home I work at and they’ve been friends for 80 years.
