👍 [Rolife Collection]Sakura Bonsai

I had to take a break from the Nanci’s Study and decided to work on the Sakura Bonsai.

I have an upcoming meetup with fellow Robotime fans here in the Philippines and wanted to check if I can finish this build in 2 hrs. And I have confirmed that it is doable :+1:

Just want to show you that these are the pieces that comes with the kit. A piece of sandpaper is also provided.

For the base of the bonsai, instructions said that the numbers are facing front but I opted to switch sides because I just don’t want to see the numbers in front. Be careful with the gray boards, they are extra thin.

Building the tree is straightforward.

Locking the tree in place of the base is a bit tricky but some sanding always helps.

Challenges I faced here is the green pieces keep chipping on me. Once it gets chipped, the flowers won’t stay in place so I need to glue them when that happens. I ended up using almost all of my spare pieces.

These are the casualties (pieces I broke)

And here are some spares left

The output is beautiful  I have never seen a sakura tree yet and I am hoping that someday in the future I will get to see them in person.

Thank you for reading my post till the end. Here’s a short video I made of the Sakura Bonsai.

It looks absolutely beautiful! I’m so looking forward to getting mine — it’s such an adorable kit, and seeing yours makes me even more excited to start it. The details on the blossoms are just lovely, even with all the little challenges along the way!

Turned out great! I think you are smart to test things and plan ahead. Hope your meet up goes smoothly. I would love to attend if I didn’t live across the ocean.

You’ve never seen a cherry blossom tree? They grow in lots of different places. And there are several varieties. People grow them on the West Coast and around the United States. You may have seen one and didn’t know it because it wasn’t blooming.

I am from the Philippines  we don’t have cherry blossoms sadly. Maybe someday I can visit nearby countries that have them.

Nice kit. From paper flowers to wood flowers seems easier.
