Rolife Blossom Book Booth (TGS05) — My Miniature Books Tip

I started building the Blossom Book Booth and oh my gosh — the books are foam! This is the first Rolife kit I’ve ever seen use foam for the books, and I am here for it.

Whether I’m working with wood or foam books :closed_book:, the process is the same. I always start with the front cover — to me, that’s the most important piece.
I hold the book upside down in my left hand, which might look odd, but it’s intentional! I use my finger and thumb almost like a guide to help line the sticker up along the edges of the book. These books are perforated at the spine, which makes placement incredibly easy — you know you’ve got it lined up correctly when it bends right at the fold. Once the sticker is on, I use the back of my tweezers to press and flatten along those score marks — it really gives the spine sharp, clean dimension and makes the books look crisp. :sparkles:

The foam is an absolute standout. The pieces are white, look just like real little books, and have a soft texture that makes the stickers seem to adhere even better. But the best bonus? If you misplace a sticker, you can peel it right back off and reposition it without any damage — at least once or twice! :tada: With wood, this same process works great — you just won’t have the luxury of repositioning if a sticker lands wrong.

I genuinely hope Rolife switches all their book pieces to foam going forward, because this is a game changer. :cherry_blossom:

I found the Blossom Book Booth (TGS05) on Amazon — I don’t see it on the Rolife site yet. A fellow builder posted about it here on the blog, and that’s what sent me looking for it!

It’s very nice to see your input on these foam books. I agree that’s a white color is more appealing and I am anxious to see how well they will stick

Wow, I haven’t seen any made of foam; the ones I’ve built have always been made of wood.

I haven’t encountered to make books out of foam yet but the way you’ve explained things, I guess the foam is a better option than woods. Thank you for sharing helpful tips.
