I am pretty happy so far with progress. Now comes the hard part. Trying to get all these pieces so that they fit onto the few pieces that I’m using from the actual guitar
I have figured out how I am going to do my Purple Rain. There is a small strand here included. I am using monofilament fishing line with dabs of glue on it that I will be painting purple.
I have also completed the base except I’m not quite sure how I want to make the top of it look. My speaker is completed as well. I do need to paint the top handle black though
For my backdrop, I will be including a small Montage of pictures of Prince. I am really excited for this one. I’ve never worked with air dried clay so this will definitely be a bit tricky. For those of you who have used air dry clay…can you paint it and what kind of glue works best with?
This is turning into such an incredible customization! I love your idea for the Purple Rain effect using fishing line and little glue drops, that should look amazing once painted purple. The Prince photo backdrop and custom speaker will make the whole scene feel so personal too. I’m really excited to see how the final guitar comes together!
