ROKR Mechanical Age : Stag Beetle Organism’s Awaken is my next build

As usual after a wooden build I do another plastic build, I know some of you don’t like the bugs series, my husband doesn’t neither, but i do, but wouldn’t it be boring if we all build the same kits and all post the same kits on here ?

I don’t like living bugs, I just like the way these are build and it learns me to build up my technical skills

So this is the box and what is in the box after unboxing, I will keep you all updated on the progress and will do a picture and video of the working beetle when I finished it

Nice kit. I’m waiting to see your finish product

Your patience level must be top-notch. I only did the Scorpion…and it was just very hard for me to deal with those very tiny black screws and getting them into the black body parts. I look forward to seeing yours when done.

@Nita_Davis i’m a real stress chicken as a personality, i have a son with ASS and a daughter that is having a medical issue since a few years and a son who travels the world for his job from country to country even outside Europe and these mechanical kits i can lose myself in them and all the little parts make me forget my worries when i work on them, i just set my mind to them and i forget to worry, they really help getting my stress level down

Awww… that is a lot of stress to deal with. I am sorry to hear that. It’s nice that these kits help to keep you focused in a more positive direction.

Sofie, you have a lot to deal with. I’m pleased that you have the builds to quiet your mind.
This build looks really interesting. One day, I may get one and see if I can interest my husband.
I’m looking forward to seeing how you do with it.

I don’t like insects but someone’s gotta show us all the different builds out there so thanks for sharing! :pink_heart:

I actually think the moments are all super cool and fluid! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I can just enjoy them via you.

I don’t like bugs too but I’m intrigued with these mechanical series. I plan to try one someday. Which one do you think was easiest in your experience?

This is cool but I think this is more challenging than the wood one

@Jill_Francisco so far I thought the Industrial City kits were the easiest

Oh nice! I’ve seen that you’ve already created a topic with this one built, but I wanted to come and add a Kudos to you for your strength and personality after reading what you’re dealing with regarding your stress chicken personality and the situation of your children. Things may be tough for you’re strong! You can do this and I’m so glad these kind of kits are helping you out.

Oh, and I’m with you there. I’m also not a fun of the bug kit series at all  but it’s all about taste and variety! Like most people here love to buid Miniature Houses and Super Creator kits and Book Nooks, and while I’ve build one of each, it’s just not as fun and entertaining for me as the wooden puzzles and mechanical builds.

@TheToday I do worry if my oldest son is in another country and out of Europe for his job, even he is not living at home anymore and he is 22 years old, with everything going on in the world these days, he just has to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, today he is in Belgium but I know he is leaving Belgium again tomorrow for a few days, when I know he is away I often look on the snapchat map where he is, luckily he often send me a message on snapchat to let me know he is okay, i sometimes even track the plane he is on on flightAware, making sure the flight goes well and if he landed safely

I guess I can understand it, even if I’m not a parent myself (yet :crossed_fingers: ). It’s a completely normal thing to worry about him! My best advice there, even if it’s way better said than done, is try not to worry too much. It’s not helping you, and it’s not helping him. Also, you may even ask yourself… What can really happen to him out there in Europe that can’t happen to him in the street next to your home? He’s an adult and he’s a mature person, I’m gonna guess. He’ll do well

@TheToday My relationship wasn’t always what it is now with him, it wasn’t easy when he was in puberty, he was going out a lot, drinking a lot, he was sharing a room in our house with his brother who has ASS, that wasn’t easy, but the last 4 years he has a girlfriend, he is not drinking anymore since he started driving a car and since he has a competing sport he needs to train for everyday and has a personal coach for his sport, he is not going out a lot anymore, think he also started to realize he wasn’t doing very well, he has a job he travels for a lot, seeing a bit of the world even if it’s for his job, he is saving to buy his own house, as now he living with his girlfriend and her father for 3 years

I also love to see new and unique kits here as it is refreshing in the eyes. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I just see the bugs series in your posts. I don’t like bugs in real life too  but I appreciate the builds that are inspired from them.
