Painting the details is always the most difficult step. Besides choosing the right colors, you also have to ensure that the paint layers are even and beautiful. Therefore, you can’t rush. You have to wait for each layer of paint to dry before applying the next. And I spent quite a lot of time on this step. And the result is only like this.
I painted in advance and this thin board kind of swelled and seemed to break easier. I dont think it would be easy to paint this later after building but I am afraid of breaking now!
Do you paint the edges after you pop the wood out of the template?
You’re right. It really does break easily after painting. I had to use glue to fix it.
Yes. I do
Everyone chooses and paints the colors according to their own taste, and I’m sure yours will be perfect when it’s finished. ![]()
Thank you so much
The result looks beautiful . All that patience really paid off.
Painting details is never easy, but your even layers and color choices make such a difference. It’s absolutely worth the time you put into it!
Do you paint it with a marker or brush?
Painting requires patience. Im still learning to get that haha
This will be so nice when finished. White is hard to do because of the multiple coats. It is looking very nice.
Thank you. I think so too when they’re finished.
I’ll use a brush for the rotating parts, and a maker for the tails.
Thanks you ![]()
Thanks you so much
Painting really needs patience but I believe the result will look amazing.
I have always wondered how you can figure out which pieces to paint. I am planning to paint a build soon but I’m nervous that I may miss pieces to paint. I hope there’s an easier way. Hehehe
Have fun @ThaoNguyen
I tend to just paint and end up having the pieces hidden. So it’s just experience. Or check ahead to see where the parts will be sitting.
Thank you. You can visit the shop beforehand and have it painted. Or you can visualize it in advance; you might miss something, but it’s easy to add it later.
Yes.that’s great
It does so much time and patience! ![]()
I love your colour choice I’m excited to see it finished! ![]()
