ROKR Hip-Hop Street Marble Run Mechanical 3D Puzzle MR03S Review and Build

Here is my complete review and build steps of the ROKR Hip-Hop Street Marble Run (MR03S). It is a brilliant mechanical 3D puzzle with moving parts. I hope this review and buiding steps helps some of you that might need help with some of the steps!,

Unboxing

The ROKR Hip-Hop Street Marble Run puzzle. It came with 134 pieces and was well packed in a nice presentation box. In the box, there were 9 plastic sheet containing the components, a main circuit board, an infra-red sensor/ sound sensor/switch shrapnel and 5 lamp boards, plus odd tools including screwdriver and all the screws etc. There is also a marble run lift in a separate box with all the parts inside needed to assemble it, plus assembly Instructions Manuals.

Assembled size

18 x 7.7 x 23.1cm

Build level is 3 stars

Works by USB C

My Assembly Experience

Step 1

The first few parts are fitting nicely in the main frame

Here I’m putting one of track bits in

Step 2

I’m now putting in the switch and cover that will power on the model

Then you put a gold metal bit on in front of the switch so when you touch it, it powers the model on.

Step 3

Putting more bits in showing the train and track in more detail

Step 4

I’m now putting in the lower street parts including the orange skate board ramp section on the bottom left

Step 5

I am adding the large vinyl and record wheel to the centre, I am also building the top section in as well, where the marbles come in from the lift. I also added more ramp and track pieces in the bottom right.

Step 6

I’m now putting the lift and motor bits together

Step 7

This is the front of the lift complete

Step 8

I have connected all the wires from the motor, sensors and lights, and everything works when powered on.

Step 9

Here the completed model with all lights turned on and all the puzzle pieces in place

My final thoughts

I thought this was a great build with all the 134 parts which all seem to be built well and to good quality. I like the design of this model. The parts come out of the sheets well and I found most of it was quite easy to put together. I also like how well the automatic marble lift works when fitted to the side of the marble run. When it is switched on the lights, music and animation work very well with great effect also it looks a lot better and brighter with all the animations and lights working in the dark. It also works by sound activation if needed and the model is powered USB C. Please see Video link below:

I found this a great build with all the parts fitting and working well and now completed it will fit alongside my other marble runs making a great looking working larger model
