I have this on my shopping cart, I think u do as welll hahah

Oh, the pure nostalgia this thread brings up. When I think back to my childhood, one game stands head and shoulders above the rest is Tetris.

Long before high-end graphics and complex open world games took over, there was something utterly hypnotic about those falling geometric blocks and trying to fit them together perfectly before the speed ramped up. Even today, hearing that iconic Russian folk tune (Corinne) instantly transports me right back to sitting in front of a small screen, completely lost in concentration. It didn’t matter how many times game over flashed on the screen, it was always just “one more round” to beat my high score. Tetris taught me a lot about patience and quick thinking. And it’s amazing how a simple puzzle game could bring so much joy, frustration and triumph all at once.

What was your favorite game as a child?

When I was a kid, my favorite “game” was playing fashion show with my cousins. :woman_dancing::dress:

We would all gather at my aunt’s house and turn it into our own runway. But first, I had one big challenge—I had to wait for my grandma (Lola) to fall asleep for her afternoon nap. She wanted me to nap too, and she’d even have me lie under her bed so she could make sure I wouldn’t sneak away! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The moment I heard Lola snoring, that was my signal! I’d quietly sneak out, grab bedsheets, tablecloths, curtains, and my mom’s shoes and bags, and race over to join my cousins. We would transform those household items into glamorous outfits and happily put on our own fashion shows.

Of course, it didn’t always end well. :joy: When Lola discovered I had escaped instead of taking my nap, she’d come looking for me. And when she found me… she’d give my ear a hard pinch! It hurt back then, but now it’s one of my favorite childhood memories that still makes me smile.

Another unforgettable childhood game was collecting little spiders. :spider::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My friends and I would carefully catch tiny spiders, keep each one in an empty matchbox, and then gather to see which spider was the strongest. We thought it was the most exciting game ever! Looking back now, it makes me laugh because something so simple kept us entertained for hours.

It’s amazing how, before smartphones and video games, our imagination could turn the simplest things into unforgettable adventures. Those childhood memories will always have a special place in my heart.

This kit would be perfect for you as someone who used to play some dolls.

I used to play Lego too but not I got to love them when I was a kid. I loved them now as an adult with the design that you can build something. If you know what I mean.

Yeah. I remember you posting this game. Looks fun

I know exactly what you mean! I think the detailed designs and seeing the final result make them much more appealing as an adult

Wow, Tetris! I play Tetris in black and white!

Oops, I didn’t answer the question, haha. My favorite game?

I played Super Mario for hours with my mom when I was little!

Oh wow! I’m new to this hobby and the mechanical sets always feel a bit daunting to me, but this looks like something I’d absolutely love to try.

The toy train really caught my attention! It reminds me so much of my childhood. I loved playing with train sets and tracks with my brother and cousins. And one of the stations even had a bluish tint just like this set. Seeing it brings back such happy memories!

Oh wow, this Happyduke Toys kit brings back so many nostalgic feels! As a child, playing with my dolls and pretending to be a doctor was my favorite thing to do. Such sweet childhood memories:stethoscope::teddy_bear::sparkling_heart:

You’re absolutely right!

My favorite childhood game was marbles. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: We’d draw a circle on the ground and place our marbles inside it. The goal was to flick your marble hard enough to knock the others out of the circle, kind of like a miniature version of bowling! It was all about having the best aim, the strongest flick, and collecting the most marbles. We could spend hours playing under the sun.

Monopoly was always a blast!

@Car haha great story thanks for sharing this!

@Miracchi yes! Another marble player!! Good to see others who weee into this as much as I was growing up!
