👍 [ROKR DIY & Creativity] My gothic-themed cuckoo clock is finally finished

Hello, I’d like to share the results of my hand painted ROKR cuckoo clock. I chose a Gothic theme for this one. This was also inspired by an antique German Black Forest clock that I saw on YouTube.

The entire painting process, which I did myself, took 18 days. I prefer the traditional approach—sanding, applying gesso, and varnishing each part/module individually. It’s definitely more complicated and tiring, but it results in a much smoother, neater, and more durable finish.

I hope to see more hand-painted (or custom-painted) cuckoo clocks from other community members. Thank you!"

Thank you so much! :black_heart: I’m really glad you noticed the cuckoo too. I actually spent a lot of time on it. I sanded, primed, airbrushed, and then hand-painted the details, so it means a lot that you saw that effort.:sparkles:

I actually use Liquitex too. the transparent one! I love how it gives the surface tooth without covering everything up. It’s such a game changer for smooth layering. So nice to meet another Liquitex fan.
