👍 [ROKR DIY & Creativity] My gothic-themed cuckoo clock is finally finished

I know right?

That also reminds me… I haven’t seen any of his movies for a while now. I should fix that soon.

@TheToday It’s definitely time for a rewatch soon. I hope you really enjoy revisiting his movies!

Oh, I’ll definitely will! Not sure which one to go for first, though. Sweeney Todd, maybe?

@TheToday Ooo Sweeney Todd is such a good choice. Dark, dramatic, and a little chaotic. Hope you have the best rewatch!

Wow that’s looks awesome! It’s definitely on my build wish list. It just looks so intricate.

@Jackie0992 Hiii Jackie, welcome to our community!!!
This is absolutely stunning. Your Gothic interpretation gives the ROKR cuckoo clock such a strong character and atmosphere, and knowing that you spent 18 days painting every part by hand makes it even more special.

We really admire your dedication to the traditional process — sanding, gesso, and varnishing each module individually is no small effort, but the smooth and refined finish truly shows in the final result. It’s a beautiful example of how a kit can become a completely personal artwork in the hands of its builder!

Thank you so much for sharing your process and inspiration with us; we’d also love to see more custom-painted kits from you after this!

@Robotime Thank you so much for the warm welcome and such thoughtful words! :black_heart:

It truly means a lot coming from the Robotime team. I really enjoyed taking my time with the traditional process, sanding, gesso, and finishing each piece individually because I wanted the clock to feel completely personal and full of character.

I’m so happy the atmosphere and details came through in the final result. Thank you for creating such inspiring kits for us to bring to life in our own ways :sparkles:

@Nita_Davis Wow, your cuckoo clock looks absolutely charming. The clean assembly, those vibrant greens and whites, and all the sweet details (the mushrooms) really bring the fairy-tale vibe to life. It’s so whimsical and perfectly executed, great job :+1:

Oh wowwwwww! I absolutely love the colours you’ve chosen! :heart: You’re so talented! I’m not that much of a gothic person myself but this is amazing! :black_heart:

@JDisaduck Thank you :heart:

@Tricia12 Your cuckoo clock looks beautiful! I really like the purple parts you added, and the tile design on the floor/foundation of the house is such a nice touch. It makes the whole piece look very charming :smiling_face: :two_hearts:
