That would be lovely @Tricia12 , I’ll be around then ![]()
I’ll private message you when it comes closer to the day.
Perfect sounds like a plan ![]()
Omg that would be mean! If I ever visit I’ll definitely let you know. I’m long overdue! ![]()
Would love to catch up @JDisaduck
Wendy did a great job at the meetup. It was a large group, and it looks like everyone had a great time.
@wendy, I’m so glad I met you here. You’re always kind and willing to help. Your posts are fun to read, and your comments are always very complimentary. I hope to see you active in the community for a long time to come. ![]()
Love it @JDisaduck that sounds great. If you are coming to Adelaide have a look at our festivals, they call it Mad March in Adelaide as they have a lot then. There is also the SALA (SA Living artists festival) in August which I personally love. It is probably a bit low key but I’ve seen some amazing artists in their home studios. But it might not be for everyone x
I googled SALA festival and the online website and it honestly looks interesting! I’m not super crazy about art but I love a good display when I see one, as long as it’s not too abstract. ![]()
@Tricia12
Yay chances of me visiting Melbourne is high too. Have you been to NZ?
That’s awesome. No I haven’t visit NZ which I should. Definitely on my bucket list. Plus it’s not too far from Australia.
One of my dreams is to experience what it’s like to live in a hobbit house! ![]()
Med too. That would be so cool.
Ha ha I’m the same @JDisaduck . It is interesting, I love it but it’s not for everyone lol. I have seen artists on both ends of the spectrum. I did see an amazing glass blower and a stunning studio and garden of an assemblage artist. March is probably a better month. The Adelaide Fringe gets some great comedians.
Very lovely stories. ![]()
I love glass blowers! I watch this artist called Trejayne quite regularly.
My most memorable find for an artist/animator currently based in Australia is 1924us/Christian Watson.
Oooh I’ll have to have a look at those thanks @JDisaduck ! ![]()
My favourite miniaturist is Hannah Lemon, her work is stunning, I also love Joshua Smith and he’s actually from Adelaide!
Their village always looks so cool. This would be fun!
I know of Hannah Lemon she’s cool! If you’re into makeovers have a look at Hanabira on YouTube. He’s my absolute favourite. ![]()
Ooh thanks @JDisaduck I’ll have a look, love discovering new artists ![]()
