Record Mood DS017(Complete)

This is the completed Record Mood DS017. It has been one of my favorite building experiences of all time. This kit is all the best parts of making miniatures with minimal repetition and frustration.

Made a tiny Gameboy console.

Building the base from scratch was more of a challenge. It would have been much easier if they had made the floor piece pre cut.

The instructions actually told me to mix the brown paint with water to make a wood stain. It worked really well. I’m super shocked.

Lots of bonus material to add to future scenes.

It looks amazing  this is my first time seeing a build which you need to make the floor yourself. The gameboy is a cute touch. You did a great job!

I definitely like the newer snap together bases better. But it turned out ok after some adjustments.

I like kits that marry the detail of miniture DIY and the ease of snap-together book nooks.

Thank you. I really did take my time with this kit. The wood stain technique was completely new to me. I didn’t trust it and almost painted the wall brown but I’m so glad I didn’t because the stain looks so realistic. It has me wanting to experiment with more painting.

I would highly recommended this corner series to newbies and experts. It’s just very well thought out and lovingly made.

This turned out soo good! If you liked the way this one is, I highly recommend searching for the ol’ leisure time series DG146, DG147, and DG148. They are like this one but on a bigger scale! Some of my favourite builds!!

I agree with that. It is very accessible for beginners while still being enjoyable to experienced builders.

I ended up putting a Gameboy in the spot where the tea cup was. Have you ever played the game “Unpacking”. I was inspired by the little retro electronics in that game. Plus Gameboy’s are awesome!

Lovely build. I love all the little details :star_struck: this build look very small, you did a great job

The furnature is a similar scale to other Rolife DIY miniature kits. It’s just condensed into a small corner.

It’s really lovely in person. It’s a perfect size to put on a desk for decoration. Without it overwhelming the space.

I love those details! I especially love the idea of mixing brown paint with water. I’m thinking about doing that in my future builds. And the game boy is a really nice touch. Thanks for sharing.
