Question!

What kit did you find the hardest to build? Longest time to build? Im looking for a challenge!

For me the pinball, not very difficult to make, but it took me 2 months because i painted it. I’m currently working on the Dream Gift Factory, and it’s definitely my favorite so far. Perhaps @Nita_Davis can give you some advice; she’s already built over 90 structures.

Thanks for the tag @Liset . I am still so over the moon about your pinball machine that I can’t even get back to mine.. LOL! I am thinking that the glow in the dark thing was not the way to go on this one. I will eventually finish it though

One of the hardest builds out of the robotime products for me was the Romantic carousel. Each person has different struggles and on that one I had a few issues. The space shuttle is a bit challenging as well. My top three models are the space shuttle, the gift Factory, and the London marble run. The earlier Marble Runs can be quite challenging though. Marble night City was something I did early on and it can be tricky

These are great suggestions! Ive done the carousel which was tricky and pieces kept breaking so now its just decorative. I really want to get the pinball one day! Mybeye is definitely on the marble runs! Thank you!

Without being painted, how long do you think it took you?

You’re so very welcome @April_Parks . I’m sure you will enjoy any model that you get. I am certainly in love with the wooden models. Plastic models present a different challenge so they are all different in many ways. I still love plastic or wood but my preference is the wooden models. I also love doing all of the amusement park rides. Some of them more challenging than others

Thank you @Nita_Davis :hugs:The pinball is a lot of work to build, I think the colors you’ve used so far are awesome! I’m sure you’ll be proud of the result.

I dont know, i only have 2 hours a day to build. I think if you want to build it without painting it, you have to spend 2 weeks.

I havent tried any plastics yet
They seem a little intimidating but i may have to at least try one. I appreciate you!

I havent built any of these but from my observation from others posts, the space shuttle, the pinball and the london marble run seem to be right up there with complex kits.

I think my actual build time on the first pinball machine that I did not paint was around 20-24 hours… I used to keep track of my time but I don’t anymore. It takes as long as it takes. @April_Parks

I haven’t build much compared to others. I have my pinball on the way. So I will definitely let you know. But from other’s story, pinball, space shuttle and London marble run is quite complex.
Rokr kits are always more complex to me because you gotta try to do it as perfectly as you can so it can work.

I think my longest ones were the Rolife. My rooms typically took a few days. Cathys flower house was probably the longest because I had to do all the plants and flowers. And the greenhouse itself was a beast. Glad with results though

I was watching someone do those on youtube and noticed the video was in several different parts because it took so long. I havent done any of those yet! I will have to try one!

Well, I can’t really properly answer since I’ve only built the Seahorse Barque, the Glittering Water Lily and half of the Dream Gift Factory.

The Seahorse Barque would be the “hardest” one so far, although I’ve found some tricky parts in the three (or two and a half) of them. But I can’t be 100% honest yet since the Water Lily was waaay a shorter build than the Barque, and my Factory is far from finished yet. What a funny build it is though!

The spaceshuttle is definitely a challenge. Totally recommend that one.

I would think the space shuttle is one of the hardest.

For me — since I usually build more Rolife kits than ROKR ones — I’d say the hardest were the first ones I made, especially because they were from the older designs that used wire and required glue for everything, and even some painting.

Now I really enjoy it, but my very first kit was Sam’s Study, and although I loved building it, I can see now that I started with a big challenge! :joy:
So if you’re looking for a real challenge, try to get one of the old kits that has plants and good luck! Hehehe
