I’m probably at week 3 at this point, (off and on), but this is my first progress post on this ever popular “dollhouse of dollhouses”, Once Upon a Time Dollhouse shop.
I had to take plenty of breaks while building this. The dollhouse pieces are very tiny, and requires plenty of patience.
One valuable thing that I realized is that building the shop first helped me a lot with my confidence. As I slowly built my little doll houses and put them around during staging, this gave me an incentive to keep going.
Oh, this is definitely the kit that you need. I just work through it for a few hours, take a break and most importantly mark the ones that I did because it’s easy to get lost in their instruction book. It’s just massive. @Lacey
Ohhhh…I just love how the front door has real hinges…and then that the whole front opens up as well to show all of your wonderful details. It’s looking so nice!
OMG that is super tiny! Michelle you should be super proud of yourself when done! Lots of patience required I am sure. But I do really like how this is coming along! Definitely a kit to take some breaks with.
That’s good that it gave you the incentive to keep going. Did it mention in the instructions to build it first, or did you jump ahead a bit.
I’m watching your build because I have this in my stash lol
Thanks, @Suzanne_Jones. I read ahead and carefully marked the things that I’ve already done. But I really made the shop as a priority first. Just me personally this helps so much better.
I’ve been meaning to get this kit one day so I’ll be following your updates for now. Everything is so so tiny wow you did an amazing job! I love how this opens and shuts and is full of details! I love the little red ladder running up the side table.
