Progress #1 - John's Hair Salon

Unfortunately now that I have started painting my builds, it offends my sensibilities to build a kit as is. So I think my days of quick builds are over. lol

I think we become adventuresome as we get more comfortable doing this. Sometimes I want to change a lot and sometimes just one or two things.

@jeanneL I completely agree. I’m doing a 1950’s diner right now and I made the mistake of starting to paint the edges of the tiny pieces and now I wish I hadn’t. There’s soooo many little pieces!

I love this Tina @Tkaplan, it just has that old time feel to it x

Hahaha I feel this soooooo much!! :see_no_evil_monkey:

Exactly the same happens to me: now if I don’t paint the edges or add a little something, the kit feels… incomplete somehow. Like it’s missing its final touch! :smiling_face_with_tear::smiling_face_with_tear:

I think we’ve ruined “quick builds” for ourselves forever :joy:

I do not think that is a problem! as much as I love to see completion, I love all the little steps we take to ge there!

I love it too, just wish it was called a barber shop. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve seen your finished build, but I haven’t seen this one. Thanks for sharing these photos. I got to see the intricate details inside. All really nice.

Thank you @mchipman ! It did have a lot of little details.

I’ve got a vinyl cutter if you would like a new sign Tina @Tkaplan. Happy to post it to you :face_blowing_a_kiss: xx

@Jo_Zanella oh wow…that’s super nice of you! It would cost too much to mail it, but I really appreciate the offer and your kindness!

No honestly it wouldn’t cost much Tina @Tkaplan, it’s only little and light. Just DM me if you would like one made and I’ll make it for you xx
