Progress #1 - John's Hair Salon

The first thing I want to point out is that the name of this kit should have said it’s a barber shop. :slightly_smiling_face:
This is a cute little build. These types of builds don’t really make it easy to customize much, but as always, I’m taking the time to paint or stain all of the edges. I’ve used several different colors so far. This is a fun quick build to do. Probably finish

it today.

So many intricate details! Cheers to you for taking the time, even if it’s for painting the edges. Not a lot of people do that and I’m sure it’ll take a decent amount of time.

I think somewhere in the English language the barber and hair salon was mixed and other non english lanugars use them as one  it’s a nice build Tina, not my style at all but happy you enjoyed and nearly finished  what next?

Wow I’ve never really noticed this kit n before.

It’s going to turn out so nice. I love all of the little “things” in this kit. I agree with you 100%. I have never in my life heard a man saying “I’m off the hair salon now”

I’ve seen this one online a few times and wondered about it. It really is quite detailed isn’t it? Great work so far. I’m interested to see it finished.

@aga2713 I wondered if language might be the reason. It’s not really my style of kit either, but I have a relative named John who is one of my favorite people in the world…so I’m making it for him.
I think I’ll do a 1950’s diner book nook next. Not sure really…I have so many to choose from. Lol

@Suzanne_Jones it has lots of details but it’s all click together. If I wasn’t taking the time to paint edges I would have been able to do it in one day.

Uff so many details. Great!!! Love you light.

It’s great that you add colors on the edge of each wood. Nice progress.

So nice! It has lots of details already. And yes, it is a barber shop, not really a salon hehehe

Oh this is definitely a more unique theme we don’t see often! It does look fun with lots of details for a small barber shop.

I should make this one for the barbershop i go to for my beard.

Awww that’s so sweet :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: For sure he will love such a thoughtful gift

I’m not sure about the languages - its just my speculation based on my original language that translate it similar.

This dinner book nook is gorgeous. I’m still in love with car neon light imitation  But whatever you choose hope you will enjoy as always

Hahaha you’re right, this is totally a barber shop vibe!!

Even if it’s a “quick build,” I love that you’re still taking the time to paint and stain all the edges. That’s what makes it next level.
