I am back to work on Miller’s Garden and this is the first time I have ever had to actually connect the wiring to the bulb. How tight does the wire need to be and does anybody have any tricks for doing this in such a tiny space? My other question is.. since these are positive and negative connections, am I correct in assuming that those wires cannot touch each other at all?

I haven’t built this kit yet, but from my experience as an electrical engineer, you don’t want the wires pulled super tight. Just snug enough to make good contact without putting unnecessary stress on the bulb or the connection. 
And yes, you’re pretty much correct. The positive and negative wires shouldn’t touch each other, as that could create a short circuit. You got this!

Oh my, I’ve done alot of diys and have never had to connect the wire to bulb. Im glad someone was able to help.

Yes if they touch it wont work. My husband told me to put some electrical wire between them so they wont touch… l had to do this on one of my builds as well or if you have shrinkwrap tubeing but l hate that.

Well, NITA is definitely not an electrician…LOL! I had two light fixtures laying around that I did not use from Super Creators and I was about to resort to using one of those…and then a 
turned on in my brain that said…“MAYBE these are dead batteries”. VOILA! A working light. Thanks so much for that valuable information…(which I actually HOPE I never have to use again in the future) @Miracchi One more quick question, Can I put electrical over those just to hold them perfectly in place until my heat shrink tubing goes on? I have never ever used heat shrink tubing either…LOL!
I am definitely taking that bit of advice…One false move and BOOM, there goes the light that almost gave a brain aneurysm. Thanks so much @Carmie

Tight enough. And i think you need to take a closer look at the bulb to see which color wire goes where. I almost made that mistake since i really couldn’t tell the difference.

I think just touching without too much pressure is enough. You shouldn’t let the positive and negative poles touch.

Oh dear ! @Gidge I did NOT even notice which side I was threading them onto. I guess I got lucky on that part. Noted…in case I ever need to know that again. Hopefully, NOT.

I’m not an expert but I did this one with my hubby’s help.

Anyway, I coiled the wire first then insert it into the bulb’s positive and negative poles accordingly. Then I used a plier to fit them. It doesnt need to be tight because you need to wrap a tape on each to make sure they dont touch each other.
Looks like you got it already, just need to wrap a tape tightly around each

That would have been a great way to do it @joy.licerio …like wrapping it around the parts you cut off first…instead of trying to wrap in between that tiny bit of space. Oh well. I did get it done.
