[Pro Tips] Alchemy City, Last City etc

I’m building the marble runs and am curious about the electronic set-up. Is there a way to just have one of the four plugged in to a power source and power all 4, or do you need to have all four “plugged” in independently?

Maybe @Martins_Assembly_H can help? I have not done any of these. Or @Joe-K

If I were you and wanted to power all four at same time would connect them all to a block, and install inline and on-off switch.

I’m sorry, I can’t help you but your idea looks nice. Maybe @CustomerService can help you or someone here in the community.

I found a video on YouTube that illustrates the hookup to run them all at once. The male-to-male usb-c cords included in the kit are designed to connect them all. When I get done with all 4 I’ll post a video that clears it all up! Very excited!!

That’s the one.
I was just going to say that because from what I remember they have 2 ports each, so one for power supply and the other for power distribution.
And I’m just assuming that 1 of them probably draws like 0.3A, so if you’re connecting like 4 together they should run really smoothly since that’s then a total of 1.2A, but just make sure you have a decent 2A or even a 3A USB cable and not some knock off one that might barely manage 1A as then the marble runs might be sluggish.
I can’t wait to see it all connected

Most kits are designed so that each unit has its own independent power connection. That means you usually need to have all four “plugged in” separately to run them reliably.

I really enjoyed seeing the photos in this video, Sue! It turned out so nicely, and it’s such a lovely way to show all the little details of Mrs Charlie’s Dining Room!

I’m 75% of the way there! I would’ve finished already but I had to take a nap!:pensive_face:

Won’t be long, about 80% done with the complete build of all 4!

I want to see the video too of how they all work!

I believe you just need one plugged in but I haven’t tried yet so better ask @CustomerService

@aga2713 maybe you have an idea?

@James_Cozart1 connecting all four marble runs sounds like a very satisfying setup once it is finished. Glad you found a video that explains the USB-C hookup, and your follow-up video will be helpful for other builders wondering the same thing.

Hi @James_Cozart1

All of them need to be connected by the cable you have in set but only one exit power source is enough to light all :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I wish to show you a picture with my recent finish one it can be visible clearly but unfortunately my phone is dead and I’m waiting for the IT support to restore my data xD and can’t make a new one as i’m not in my home now. I will be there next Monday so i will make a new photo to sent to you <3
