Yesterday I finally finished my Plum Garden Prayer!!
This past week was a bit chaotic from the very beginning because I had so much work, even though my week only started on Tuesday. It still somehow felt incredibly long. Thankfully, I managed to get through it… but on Saturday I apparently decided it had been too long since anything happened to me, so I went and got myself an ankle sprain. Please, note the irony 
The last time I had one was around two years ago, and I spent Christmas with my leg up. This time it has not been as serious, but I still need to rest for a week, so at least it is only that 
So, since I cannot move around much right now, I found a position that let me keep my leg elevated and work on my beautiful kit at the same time… and tada! I was able to finish it, and I was so happy about it.
I only had a little left to do: some final touches like adding the leaves to the big tree, which is one of the main stars of this kit, adding the snow to the roof and part of the surface, putting together some small pieces like the teapot and the bento on the table, and placing everything where it belonged.
And honestly? I am in love. Just look at how beautiful this kit is. It could not be more perfect.
I also wanted to share a few little tips I used in case they are helpful to anyone:- For the snow, white glue works best. To spread it on the surface, I use a silicone brush because it does not get damaged, and once the glue dries, I can just peel it right off the brush. It is all advantages.

Another trick I already mentioned in my last post: before adding the flowers to the tree, I bend them a little first, hold them with tweezers, add a bit of white glue to the back, and then stick them onto the tree. They end up looking perfect.

And finally, for pieces like the tree that do not have a slot in the base, I do not recommend super glue this time, even though I usually defend it a lot. What worked best here was using a generous amount of white glue where I wanted to place it, pressing the tree down, removing the extra glue with the silicone brush, and leaving it to dry. It gives a really clean and neat result.

Now that I have this forced week of rest ahead of me, I will have to decide what kit to build next. I have quite a few options, and I might go for a book nook… but I will be thinking about it .
