Then came one of the final details: the Moomin sign at the top. I painted the edges a little, although this build also made me realise that my markers are definitely too thick for details this tiny hahaha. I may need to find some finer ones for future kits.
The little bread basket is absolutely adorable too.
And then came the final challenge: the cooking pot over the fire. One of the handles on mine was broken, so getting the tiny wire into place involved a bit of improvisation and some careful manoeuvring… but eventually I managed it.
It really is such a lovely little scene. Size-wise, it reminds me a lot of the Little & Warm Space collection: compact, easy to display and full of small details despite its size.
Like those kits, Moomintroll’s Forest Camp doesn’t include lighting. I think that’s probably the only thing I really missed. A tiny warm light inside the scene would look beautiful, especially around the campfire and dome, so I may try adding one myself at some point.
Overall, I really enjoyed this build. It’s small and quite quick compared with larger miniature kits, but it still gives you enough little details to make the process satisfying. And having Moomintroll fishing in the middle of this peaceful forest scene makes the finished result even cuter.
I’m very happy that this was the Moomin kit I received as my Graduation Season prize. It now has a very sweet little place in my collection.

So nice kit!! And really amazing prize for you. Looks very very adorable even tho I’m still not a big fan of Moomin ( BUKA hater forever - thanks for my children nightmares xD) Yet this scenery helps me to have a nicer and positive felling,
I also think this one is the best (cute) among the all 3 piece series kits.
I get you and the problems with acrylic marker tips… Recently i just use a small nail painting brushes to paint the small areas because the markers didn’t make it
it is quite small. Well done 
The tiny details are lovely, and I agree—a little warm light would make it even more magical!
