Thank you very much @Suzanne_Jones I love the chairs, too… and the cabinets and desk (the one I broke) … I love everything about this kit ![]()
Thank you very much @Jo1 … I don’t recall building one project without breaking anything
so I’m used to it by now. I just wish I knew how to fix things without the repaired part being so obvious
Thank you very much @Carmie ![]()
You are my welcome. ![]()

All these tiny pieces are turning out so cute! Glad you were able to fix the table leg, it still looks awesome!l @Gidge
You’re welcome @Gidge
Hhah oh my that was me as well ![]()
Lol i always have too much glue
@Gidge hi hun remove any splinters use pva glue and clamp and leave to dry for 24 hours then sand and paint if that helps ![]()
I rarely break a part…but when I do, I find that that the best way is to glue it and put it back in its position in the board it came from until it dries. I use a razor knife to avoid breakage by cutting the tabs holding pieces in place from the back side.
Thank you so much @Josephine40. Table’s holding up so far ![]()
I stopped reading at 24 hours
just kidding. Thanks for the tip @Jo1 Will try that next time. Although I hope there won’t be a next time ![]()
Thank you @Nita_Davis. The piece I broke was a pre-cut painted piece that came in a bag, so I didn’t know how to hold it down while it dried. I tried to use a binder clip to keep it in place, but the piece was too thin, so the clip kept snapping off with the broken part. I eventually used wood glue, which dried faster.
@Gidge hopefully not hun fingers crossed !

I see. Those would be a bit tougher to repair. It’s always hard to find something that will work for each situation to keep something together. Some of the clips are just too strong. I’m happy to hear that you were able to work it out though
It’s really coming together! I love how each little piece of furniture makes the Moomin home feel more lived-in. And those tiny accidents are always so stressful, especially when the wood splinters! Glad you managed to rescue both the table leg and ladder. Hopefully the rest of the build is smooth sailing from here! ![]()
You’re so welcome, @Gidge . Glad to hear it’s holding up well! ![]()
Tiny details are the cutest!
Glad you were able to fix the breakage.
You got this Ms @Gidge ![]()
You did a really good job fixing it! I’m sure it’ll blend in perfectly once the kit is finished.
The details in this kit look so cute! Great job!
