When my father passed away on August 8, I was in the middle of finishing this Secret Bloomy Nook. Needless to say, it was an emotional time, and I had to give myself the time and grace to step away before I could come back and finish it.
Because of that, this kit will always hold a special place in my heart. I built it during a time of grief, reflection, and ultimately, my father’s transition. Finishing it somehow became part of my own process of moving forward.
On another note, as part of my healing, my husband surprised me with a new motorcycle—a ‘26 Honda Rebel 300. I’m now preparing for my MSF motorcycle course, which gives me something new and exciting to look forward to.
Between building miniatures and learning to ride, these hobbies have given me little pockets of peace while I navigate life and grief. Sometimes healing comes in unexpected ways—and for me, it has looked a lot like tiny worlds and two wheels.
