This is a really interesting start to Howl’s Moving Castle! The wax-free approach sounds especially promising. Graphite for the hidden gears and PTFE for the visible moving surfaces seems like a thoughtful way to keep everything moving smoothly without the dust-attracting residue that wax can leave behind. It’s also reassuring that the MDF pieces are coming out cleanly with no chipped paint, especially with those tight-fitting joints. And getting a successful electronics test this early is always a great milestoneThe fact that they included a little hammer because some of the joints are that snug definitely makes me curious to see how the more complicated sections come together. It looks like you’re off to a fantastic start!
I am sure once I re-join the work force that I will slow down. At the moment I have all day every day to work on models. It staves off bordom, keeps my mind and fingers active and stops be from sitting in front of the TV.
