I always used to notice this kit whenever I was browsing, and I finally decided to buy it and start working on it today. Since I love coffee shops, it really caught my eye!
I recently introduced Rolife miniatures to my mom, and this is actually the very first kit we’re building together after a long break from DIY miniatures. It brings back all those childhood memories of us making miniatures and crafts together. The only difference now is that I have a child of my own, and she is a bit older. Today, my toddler is our little assistant—and he said his toy bunnies are going to help out, too!
I will always cherish these memories while I still have them by my side. I am so grateful that I get to spend more time with my loved ones, especially my parents, since they get older day by day. The same goes for my son—as he grows up, I hope he stays the same and still builds miniature houses with me whenever he has time.
That’s so true. It’s amazing how a little DIY kit can bridge the age gap and bring so much joy to everyone involved. Definitely one of the best parts of this hobby
Aww, that is so beautiful @Jo1 !! “Nannie’s treasures” is the most precious name ever! It really is amazing how these little kits can connect all of us across different generations
Thank you!! @Grey74 It’s been so wonderful sharing this with her. Having her join in on the building fun makes the whole project a thousand times more special
This is so heartwarming. I love that three generations are sharing this hobby together. Building the miniature is wonderful, but the memories you’re creating with your mom and your little one are what make this project truly priceless. Wishing you many more cozy build sessions together!
@micromagic16 this Slow Life Cafe start is so heartwarming. Building it with your mom and your child, after all those childhood miniature memories, makes the kit feel like more than a coffee shop scene. Please keep sharing the three-generation progress as it comes together.
@jeanneL thanks for pointing out the base and wall part of Slow Life Cafe. Notes like that are really helpful for builders who are just starting the kit, especially when the final result is worth working through the tricky steps.
