I’m excited to be able to share these with people who really care I was turned onto the community by @Grey74, and have already posted a few photos here and there, but I thought I’d do a little more detail:
Sunset Isle:
This is the most recent addition, received at the Robotime event I attended with my mom this past weekend. I really enjoyed making it and I love how it’s put together. The forced perspective and the infinity mirrors are a really nice touch. The little sleeping kitty was a huge selling point for me. My biggest criticism is probably that the lights are quite warm. I might end up replacing one or two with a different shade of LED.
This was my first build! It was perfect for me because I love a garden/greenhouse vibe, plants are awesome. The climbing wisteria is so pretty, and this whole room looks like a place I want to hang out. The cute little touches like the fuzzy blanket on the rocking chair really make it feel cozy. My criticisms are that the paper inserts don’t stay put well without using your own adhesive, and some of the joints are weak compared to more recent models (a sign they’re improving!).
I’m not going to lie, I’m not religious, but the gorgeous “stained glass” and star motifs inspired me to create a space of worship for something else, something much more important to me: cats. I added these little black cats that look like they’re purr-fectly at home in the “cat-thedral”, complete with a little witch hat to further instill a sense of cosmic magic ☆ Plus, the “stained glass” patterns and colors on my bedroom wall are otherworldly. Criticisms are the many tiny bits that stick out… but that’s largely because my cat-child is actually an alligator and likes to do a chomp on all the things… you might actually be able to catch where he nibbled off a piece.
@kaegetbent hahaha omg I genuinely laughed out loud at this!! Your description of all your kits is so amazingly detailed and include both positive and the struggles! I appreciate it so much for that kind of candor oh the kitty tax is harsh… here my supervisor currently begging for treats …

It’s true, all cats seem to love boxes!! Our little kitty is the same and loves cardboard boxes too. Cats are just amazing they somehow always make our days better.
these two fill my soul and are my best friends. cats are truly amazing creatures. I could go on forever about these two haha. my profile pic is actually of my late kitty Mama Sunny who lived to be 20.
Both are beautiful builds! I think you were at the same event as my son. Giant kid with black hair and glasses. I love how these events make the world just a little bit smaller.
